As the creator of both the concept and interior, her efforts were rewarded in the first year of business, when the Chateau was chosen by Conde Nast Traveller as one of the Best 50 New Hotels in the World. Subsequently it went on to be recognised by the Hip Hotel Guide and was shortlisted in 2002 for the prestigious Hotel Design Award.
