Birgit Israel has an exciting opportunity for a new Showroom Manager to oversee the running of our luxury high-end showroom in the heart of Chelsea.
You will be experienced in managing a small team and you will be responsible for the day to day running of the showroom, reporting directly to the owner and ensuring that you deliver exceptional customer service to clients and designers alike.
The candidate has a genuine interest in Interior Design.
A minimum of 3 years experience within a management role and coming from a high-end sales background is a requirement.
The candidate must have excellent customer service; management and sales skillset, with a good track record and should have a good network of clients and industry contacts. The ability to work to targets and be sales driven is a must.
To ensure that clients are extended the highest levels of customer service at all times.
To deal promptly and be responsible for any escalated customer or supplier issues.
Review systems on an on going basis to improve efficiency and service levels.
Ensuring the showroom and all displays are presentable, neat and tidy at all times.
Responsibility for stock management and ordering.
Organise showroom maintenance and refits as needed.
Key holder responsibilities, ie opening and closing the shop, covering
in the case of absence, ability to be onsite in the event of an emergency.
Maintain good relations with neighbours and actively explore local marketing opportunities.
Organise and manage imports, deliveries and any damages/replacements.
Source new products/suppliers and negotiate terms.
Liaising with PR and Marketing asand when necessary and assist with the arrangement of events.
Misc. administrative tasks as and when required.
To be a strong sales representative, leading by example and achieving monthly sales targets as set by the company.
To motivate and develop the team to ensure targets are achieved.
To maximise sales opportunities with retail and trade clients.
Accurately monitor, analyse and report sales patterns and trends.
Grow trade accounts as well developing new business - identifying new business opportunities to create long term customer relationships.
To produce a monthly report covering objectives set, results achieved and sales performance, forecasts and collating forward indicators.
Understand the best sale periods throughout the year and plan promotions.Human Resources:
Plan and monitor employee development, setting goals to achieve maximum performance, productivity and job satisfaction.
Report holiday/sickness, or any grievances.
High-end customer service and luxury retail experience.
Proven sales and customer satisfaction record.
Proven management experience in leading, motivating, developing a team.
Ability to work in a high paced environment and to multitask.
Computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Familiarity with local market.
