THIS VERSION IS MADE FROM HAND-ROLLED PARCHMENT, SOURCED IN SWITZERLAND, WHICH IS THEN POLISHED AND LACQURED 8 TIMES TO CREATE AN UNPARRALLED SHINE AND DEPTH OF COLOUR.

Looking forward to all my top hot-spots and hoping to find new ones! Things I always love to do are eat at DEL POSTO which has been a favourite forever… also love  THE GRAMERCY TAVERN and for drinks love Soho House (as always), and for roof terrace pool bars one can’t beat the cocktails at THE GANSEVOORT HOTEL

another perennial favourite is  ‘PLEASE DON’T TELL’ which is fantastic little ‘Speak-easy’ with the most wonderful hidden entrance- worth a vist just for the fun of that!

And… of course NEW YORK SHOPPING!!   The glamourous BERGDORF GOODMAN  is my FAVOURITE departments store in New York- so glamourous….

and at the other end of the spectrum… the wonderful Century 21.

THE POLO MANSIONS on Madison Avenue are always worth a visit just for the wonderful building and interiors….

Centarl Park is always a wonderful place to gather one’s thoughts amonst all the chaos… one can wonder and contemplate… and have a breat from all the New York Craziness… For inspiration, some of my favourite places are MoMA  and (of course)  THE MET  both have  the most wonderful collection of 20th Century design classics- which is always refreshingly surprised to be reminded of all the genius of the 20th Century greats! MoMA has ‘Shaping Modernity’ an ongoing exhibition which is always great to go to- Hans Wenger,  Marcel Breuer, Eames and all the truly iconic pieces!

THE MET is always heavenly… SO dissapointed to miss the Alexander Mc Queen Exhibition but one can always enjoy the many other wonders on display… Can always buy the post card and send it home… WISH YOU WERE HERE!

We are very pleased to have been invited to work on several of lovely show apartments  for The Lancaster’s on Hyde Park.

Intarya, the designers which have done the largest of the show apartments and the Spa, Entrance and communal areas have also used our pieces extensively thoroughout, so everywhere one looks there is  Birgit Israel piece! The pieces we have loaned them are the Xavier Table, Oscar Console, Rio Side Table, and Cube Side Tables, as well as many accessories, and all look perfect in the space. The apartment looks amazing!

Found this FABULOUS Vintage Enamel and Diamond Ring on one of my travels. Such a find! It's my current FAVOURITE!!

Very excited to be back in London and have been working on the new showroom and, of course, shopping and sourcing. Found this fabulous vintage diamond and enamel ring from the 1970′s which I can’t take off!

I have had a love affair with vintage jewellery and been collecting since my days a fashion stylist, sourcing wonderful pieces for photo-shoots. Love the fun finds and SUCH a thrill when one finds something special… (Like this ring!). I love Georgian jewellery, antique Tortoiseshell Pique-work, paste and old diamonds…

CAPRICE AT MASTERPIECE

Had brunch on Saturday at Christie’s to view the amazing ‘Exceptional Sale’. Spoke to Peter Horwood who was an expert on all things English Furniture and gave a masterful explanation of Governor Harrison’s collection including Anglo Indian pieces. Also the Georgian Silver Chandelier was a favourite!

And, of course the magnificent Jan de Vries Scuplture…

We are very excited to be stocking the fantastic Bethge Hamburg range of products in our new store which will be opening in the Fulham Road late summer (once the scaffolding is down!!)
